Wildlife Viewing

Trophy Mountain Ranch nestled amongst the foothills in North Park is surrounded by some of the most beautiful wilderness areas in Colorado and Wyoming: Rawah, Mount Zirkel, Platte River, Never Summer, Cache La Poudre, Neota, Savage Run, and Huston Park). In addition to these wilderness areas there are hundreds of thousands of acres of national and state forest. The ranch has an extraordinary herd of elk in their natural environment; majestic bulls, and cows with their young at their sides. Bordering the ranch abundant herds of deer, antelope, big horn sheep and moose have earned Walden the title of "moose viewing capital of Colorado". Abundant wildlife brings the predators that feed upon them: lions, bears, coyotes, and even wolves have been spotted in recent years. Not to forget our feathered friends, wildlife viewers can watch bald and golden eagles soar, cranes and osprey feeding from the plentiful streams, hawks, geese and the many song birds.
